Meditation is a great way to overcome stress, promote health and well-being, and maintain a positive and relaxed attitude to life. Through following practical instructions, everyone can learn to meditate. In this brief retreat you will learn the basics of meditation so that you can practice with confidence and joy. This retreat is perfect for beginners or anyone wishing to improve the quality of their meditations.
Schedule
2:00pm – 3:15pm – Session 1 – Finding inner peace through meditation
3:45pm – 5:00pm – Session 2 – Developing a clear mind and a happy heart through meditation

Limited in person attendance is also available. Advance registration is required.
A recording of the event will also be available to replay for one week after the event on our website. You must register in advance in order to watch the replay.
About the Teachers
Patrick Davidson is a sincere and dedicated meditation practitioner with many years of experience studying and practicing in the Kadampa tradition. He is appreciated for his warmth and joy in presenting Buddhist teachings, and has taught many classes at our Center.
Shannon Harvey has been studying and practicing in the Kadampa Buddhist tradition for many years, and is a longtime member of our local Center. She is appreciated for her thoughtful and heartfelt presentation of Buddhist teachings.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to commencement of the event we will refund all except 25%. If you cancel on, or after, the event, no refunds are given. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to [email protected] within 2 weeks of the end of the event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
