Description
An empowerment is a very special blessing ceremony that functions to heal our mental continuum and awaken our Buddha nature. Each empowerment introduces us to a particular enlightened being, as well as their meditations and mantras. The particular enlightened being to which we will be introduced in this empowerment is Green Tara. If we rely upon Green Tara sincerely and with strong faith, she will protect us from all obstacles and fulfill all our wishes. Since she is a wisdom Buddha, and since she is a manifestation of the completely purified wind element, Tara is able to help us very quickly.
In this event Gen Kelsang Tashi will grant the empowerment of Green Tara and give commentary to the meditation practice of Green Tara. Participating in this event will help us to increase our faith and personal connection with Tara. We will draw closer to Tara and develop a special feeling that we have an enlightened mother who is protecting us, giving us whatever we need and guiding us as we learn and develop spiritually. We will also draw closer to her in the sense of becoming more like her and developing her same enlightened good qualities.
