During this special weekend retreat we will be guided in a series of clear and joyful meditations on the nature of the mind. Through training in meditation on the nature of the mind we gain the ability to easily pacify our mental disturbances and distractions, and we create powerful causes to experience deep and stable inner peace and contentment. Eventually, through continued practice of these meditations we can accomplish the powerful and blissful concentration of tranquil abiding. This retreat is open to all levels of experience. Even those who are new to meditation can experience great results from the practices we will engage in during this weekend event.

About the Teachers
Gen Kelsang Jindak is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Fort Lauderdale. She has over 20 years of experience practicing and teaching meditation and modern Kadampa Buddhism. Gen Jindak provides a light-hearted and practical approach to presenting Buddha’s teachings.
Gen Kelsang Tashi is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Miami. He has been practicing meditation for over 15 years, and has taught many classes, events and retreats throughout Florida. He is appreciated for his clear and practical manner of teaching and guiding meditations.
About the Temple
This event will be held at the beautiful Temple for World Peace at Kadampa Meditation Center Florida. This modern Buddhist Temple was designed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as part of the International Temples Project and was opened in 2011. Being able to listen to authentic Dharma teachings in a blessed Temple is an incredibly profound and meaningful experience. You will be able to meet and connect with Sangha friends and enjoy the World Peace Cafe, shop, and beautiful world peace gardens at KMC Florida.
Onsite Accommodation Options
Limited onsite accommodation will be available inside the Temple for those attending this event (2-night minimum booking required). Please register as soon as possible if you wish to stay onsite. Onsite accommodation options include:
- Single Room – $95/night
- Shared Double Room – $65/night/person
- Shared Dormitory – $45/night/person
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to commencement of the event we will refund all except 25%. If you cancel on, or after, the event, no refunds are given. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to [email protected] within 2 weeks of the end of the event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
