Description

Training in mindfulness and meditation have been understood by Buddhist practitioners for centuries to be the key to a happy and fulfilling life. These practices are not limited to when we are sitting down in formal meditation. They can be integrated into every aspect of our life. Mindfulness practice is not simply about “being in the moment”, but learning to transform our daily activities into causes pure peace and happiness by remembering special ways of thinking. This afternoon course will provide a brief and practical introduction to training in mindfulness according to the Kadampa Buddhist tradition.

Schedule
2:00pm – 3:15pm – Session 1 – What is mindfulness and why practice it?
3:45pm – 5:00pm – Session 2 – How to practice mindfulness in daily life
