Upcoming Class Schedule & Topics
May 2025 – An Introduction to Buddhist View
Guided meditations and teachings with modern Buddhist teacher Lyn Fox
In this series, we will contemplate and meditate on some basic Buddhist concepts. Each week we will examine one key principle that will help us to understand what a Buddhist way of life means. Using the book “Introduction to Buddhism” by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the topics we will cover are: what exactly is the mind?, past and future lives, what is karma?, how and why to see our life as precious, and appreciating the importance of meditation. The series is suitable for beginners or more experienced practitioners. Everyone is welcome.
May 1 – Everything depends upon the mind (and that’s good news!)
May 8 – How sleeping and dreaming help us to understand past and future lives
May 15 – Karma: learning how we can create the causes of happiness and good fortune
May 22 – Learning how our human life is both precious and rare
May 29 – Why meditation is the hammer in our spiritual tool bag
