Description
About the Event
“From giving comes wealth, from discipline comes happiness, from patience come attractive forms, from effort comes the fulfilment of wishes, from concentration comes peace, and from wisdom comes liberation.”
– Nagarjuna, quoted in How to Understand the Mind by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
This inspiring three-day teaching event (open to everyone from beginners to advanced meditators) will introduce the practice of the “six perfections” – training in giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, meditation, and wisdom, with a motivation to realize our limitless potential. We should recognize that the six perfections are our daily practice. These practices are a special method to benefit others while also making our own life very happy and meaningful.
The emphasis of the event will be gaining heartfelt experience of these profound practices through a combination of teachings, guided meditation, and discussion.
Each teaching session will include practical instructions and time for meditation. This online event will give people the opportunity to fully immerse into these teachings which can be a truly transformational experience. You do not need to be a Buddhist to join this event and it is suitable for people from all walks of life. Everyone can learn to meditate and everyone can experience the tremendous benefits of meditation.
