Description
This beginner-friendly retreat will include practical teachings and guided meditations that help us experience a joyful feeling of mental clarity and inner peace by meditating on the nature of our mind.
Through practicing these meditations we will discover our potential for deep inner peace and happiness, and greatly increase our ability to pacify distractions and negativity within our own mind.
Everyone is welcome! No previous meditation experience is required.
Retreat Schedule
10:00am – 11:00am – Guided Meditation Session #1
11:00am – 12:00pm – Break (refreshments will be available, time to relax and enjoy the gardens)
12:00pm – 1:00pm – Guided Meditation Session #2
1:00pm – 2:30pm Lunch break (healthy vegetarian lunch will be provided)
2:30pm – 3:30pm – Guided Meditation Session #3
About the Venue
This retreat will take place at Villa Turqueza in Homestead and provides an opportunity to get away and be in nature for the day.
There will be plenty of time between sessions to relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens and natural surroundings.

About the Teacher
Gen Kelsang Tashi is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Miami. He has been practicing and teaching meditation in the Kadampa tradition for over 15 years. His gentle approach to meditation emphasizes the importance of keeping a happy and positive mind. He is appreciated for his clear, light-hearted and practical presentation of Buddhist teachings.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to commencement of the event we will refund all except 25%. If you cancel on, or after, the event, no refunds are given. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to ad@meditationinmiami.org within 2 weeks of the end of the event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
