In this special course we will look at how we can find peace in our hearts and meaning in our life through following the Buddhist way of life. In these turbulent times we need special practical methods for keeping a positive mind and transforming our adversities. Buddha taught that through seeking refuge (protection) in the “Three Jewels” – Buddha, Dharma (his teachings), and Sangha (the spiritual community), we can heal our mind of feelings of unhappiness, find lasting solutions to our daily problems, and develop the positive qualities we need to benefit others. Seeking refuge in the Three Jewels is the very essence of the Buddhist way of life.
11:00am-12:15pm – Session 1 – Building a peaceful refuge within our own mind
12:15pm-1:15pm – Lunch break (vegetarian lunch will be provided)
1:15pm-2:30pm – Session 2 – Receiving inspiration and support for our spiritual life
