In these modern times our minds can easily become distracted, agitated or disturbed. The Buddhist teachings on developing mindfulness and concentration help us to experience deep inner peace, and a calm and quiet state of mind. This special workshop will present some essential explanations on how to train in mindfulness and concentration in a structured, effective way so we can begin to experience a strong, stable peace of mind.
Schedule
11:00am-12:15pm – Session 1 – Understanding the great benefits of training in concentration and mindfulness
12:15pm-1:15pm – Lunch break (vegetarian lunch will be provided)
1:15pm-2:30pm – Session 2 – How to gradually improve our concentration and mindfulness

About the Teacher
Gen Kelsang Tashi is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Centers in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. He has been practicing meditation and mindfulness for over 15 years, and has taught many classes, events and retreats throughout Florida. He is appreciated for his clear, light-hearted and practical instruction on how to develop and maintain a more peaceful and positive state of mind in daily life.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to commencement of the event we will refund all except 25%. If you cancel on, or after, the event, no refunds are given. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to [email protected] within 2 weeks of the end of the event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
