In this day retreat we will spend some time listening to, contemplating and meditating on Buddha’s profound teachings on the true nature of things, emptiness. Through gaining a realization of emptiness we can solve all our problems and lead ourself and others to the supreme inner peace and happiness of enlightenment.
Retreat Schedule
11:00am-12:30pm – Session 1 – Liberating wisdom – What is emptiness?
2:00-3:00pm – Session 2 – Letting go of the limited self – The emptiness of persons
4:00-5:00pm – Session 3 – The peace of emptiness – The emptiness of phenomena

About the Teacher
Gen Kelsang Tashi is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Miami. He has been practicing meditation in the Kadampa tradition for over 12 years. His gentle approach to meditation emphasizes the importance of keeping a happy and positive mind. He is appreciated for his clear, light-hearted and practical presentation of Buddhist teachings.

Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to [email protected] within 2 weeks of the end of the event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
