About the Retreat
Every year, the New Kadampa Tradition has three International Festivals: Spring, Summer, and Fall. This year, our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Tashi, will be attending the Summer Festival in England, and will return back home to Miami with a wealth of teachings and experience to share with us from the Festival. This retreat is our opportunity to receive some of the teachings shared during the Festival, and to meditate on the profound practices he brings back and shares with us. Please join us for this very special event!
At this year’s Summer Festival, the teachings and meditations are based on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s book, The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra. The Sanskrit term ‘Mahamudra’ refers to the experience of the union of great bliss and emptiness. We can accomplish this experience of profound inner peace and happiness through the practice of Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra, the very essence of which is presented in this book.
