Please join us for a special weekend of clear and joyful meditation on the nature of the mind. Through training in meditation on the nature of the mind we gain the ability to easily pacify our mental disturbances and distractions, and we create powerful causes to experience deep and stable inner peace and contentment. Even those who are new to meditation can experience great results from the practices we will engage in during this weekend event.
This retreat is suitable for beginners and all levels of experience. Everyone is welcome!

Friday, May 18th
Friday Night Lecture / Introductory Talk for Retreat: “The Bliss of a Clear Mind”

This evening talk will include an essential introduction to the nature, function and power of the mind, as well as instructions on how to practice meditation on the very subtle mind, which is a powerful method for experiencing inner peace and joy.
Saturday, May 19th
One-Day Silent Retreat: “Tranquil Abiding”
9:00am-5:30pm
During this one-day silent retreat, we will be training in tranquil abiding, a special state of mind in which all inner disturbances have been pacified, and our mind abides in joyful and single-pointed focus. All sessions will be fully guided, and silence will be observed between sessions. Includes vegetarian lunch.

During this special class we will explore how to carry the inner peace and joy we develop in seated meditation into our daily life, so that it positively influences our everyday experiences.

About the Teacher
Kelsang Tashi is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Miami. He has been practicing meditation in the Kadampa tradition for over 10 years. His gentle approach to meditation emphasizes the importance of keeping a happy and positive mind. He is appreciated for his clear, light-hearted and practical presentation of Buddhist teachings.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to commencement of the event we will refund all except 25%. If you cancel on, or after, the event, no refunds are given. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to [email protected] within 2 weeks of the end of the event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
