Description
This guided day retreat will provide an introduction to the practice of Buddhist meditation, through which we will be able to develop and maintain a peaceful mind all the time. If our mind is peaceful all the time, we will be happy all the time. In this way we can find real protection from many types of inner problem, such as anger, fear and depression. We will also be protected from many types of outer problem and danger in the future. In short, through practicing meditation every day, we can build a refuge within our own mind that will always be a reliable source of happiness and protection for us. Please join us for this inspiring day of practical teachings and guided meditations with Buddhist monk and meditation teacher, Kelsang Tashi. Everyone is welcome!

10:45-11am – Reception & registration
11:00am-12:30pm Teaching & Guided Meditation #1: The inner protection of Dharma
12:30-1:30pm – Lunch (provided)
1:30-2:30pm – Guided Meditation #2: Being inspired by Buddha
2:30-3:00pm – Coffee/tea break
3:00-4:00pm – Guided Meditation #3: Receiving help & support from Sangha
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 24 hours prior to commencement of the event we will refund all except 25%. If you cancel on, or after, the event, no refunds are given. Exceptions may be made in circumstances such as sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to [email protected] within 2 weeks of the end of the event. Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.
