Description
During this special half-day meditation course we will look at how we can find peace in our hearts and meaning in our life through following the Buddhist way of life. In these turbulent times we need special practical methods for keeping a positive mind and transforming our adversities. Buddha taught that through seeking refuge (protection) in the “Three Jewels” – Buddha, Dharma (his teachings), and Sangha (the spiritual community), we can heal our mind of all feelings of unhappiness, find permanent solutions to our daily problems, and develop all the positive qualities we need to truly benefit others. Seeking refuge in the Three Jewels is the essence of the Buddhist way of life.
In the afternoon there will be an opportunity to receive the Buddhist refuge vows for those wishing to deepen their commitment to the Buddhist way of life. Everyone is welcome to attend this beautiful ceremony whether or not they wish to receive the refuge vows.
