Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our lives and develop inner peace. These classes focus on using Buddhist understanding to help us solve our daily problems, let go of negative minds and find the lasting happiness we seek.

Each class includes guided meditation, a practical teaching, and an opportunity to ask questions. Although taught as a series, each class is self-contained and can be attended individually.

Breaking Bad Habits: Mindfulness & Self-Control

The practice of being able to control one’s own body, speech and mind is an essential foundation for a happy life and a successful meditation practice. This series of classes will make the pure disciplines taught by Buddha accessible to the modern practitioner and provide practical tools to help us kick our bad habits.

Aug 10 – Introduction to the practice of guarding the mind
Aug 17 – Developing self-control and breaking bad habits
Aug 24 – Becoming skillful in our interactions with others
Aug 31 – Transforming our activities into causes of happiness
